Kathy Clark, LMFT
Kathy Clark, a licensed marriage and family therapist, opened her private practice in Solana Beach, California in 2009. The foundation of her training in expressive arts was Sky Mountain Institute’s 100-Hour Expressive Arts Intensive. She has also studied with Ann Sayre Wiseman at a one-week Esalen Institute workshop on life mapping titled “Strategies for Life Balancing-Art, Dreams, and Creative Problem-Solving." Other expressive arts related workshops taken at Esalen include “Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain” and a dream workshop with Dr. Deidre Barrett titled “Committee of Sleep.”
Heather Biermann
Heather Biermann holds degrees in fine art and art therapy. She developed her dying techniques during her time as an artist in residence for the National Park Service. Heather shares her knowledge and enjoyment of natural materials, art making, and community, to encourage the emergence of deeper relationships between people and the natural world.
Diana Carey
Diana Carey is a professional artist and published poet, has developed programs, taught art and poetry and is the founder of Hearts of Stone and Diana Carey contemporary frescoes. Her work has received numerous awards and is in many collections.

Jean Krumbein leads the weekly life drawing class at the Encinitas Library as well as in the classroom. Her many years of teaching human figure drawing make it fun and easy for both beginners and experienced artists.

Jan Phillips is a writer, photographer and activist who connects the dots between evolutionary creativity, spiritual intelligence and social action. In her keynotes and workshops, she uses music, poetry and images to keep the heart and brain connected. Jan is the author of ten award-winning books. Jennifer Hewitson
Jennifer Hewitson, a freelance illustrator since 1986, has been nationally recognized and awarded for her editorial, publishing, children’s books, and advertising work. She has taught illustration at Laguna College of Art and Design, CSUSD, and Palomar College where she also taught watercolor. She currently teaches Children’s Book Illustration and drawing classes at UCSD Extension.
Heather Williams
Heather is an artist, author and teacher, who has engaged students throughout the world in the practice of drawing as a sacred activity. She believes in drawing for the purpose of connecting authentically with your world, honoring your unique point of view and learning to know who you are as consciousness.
