Retreat in La Paz, Mexico - October 13 - 17, 2010

Would you like to spend 4 relaxed days exploring a pristine environment, guided by a local naturalist?

Baja beach

This fall, join us for a retreat into the beautiful, secluded coastal area of Mexico. This retreat is an opportunity to be nurtured by nature and the creative process, away from the stresses of daily life.

Lisa Ezzard, who teaches African Dance here at the Center, will be co-leading the retreat along with Ali Thomas, an African Drumming teacher and Gabriela Flores, a naturalist and owner of the Center in Baja. Ellen Speert will be leading expressive arts experiences each day which will enhance a sense of well being and playfulness as well as deepen self awareness.

The 4-day retreat will include:
  • All meals – healthy, home made with vegetarian options
  • Shared, comfortable rustic cabins near the beach
  • (private cabin $100. extra)
  • tent and bedding $15 less per night
  • Daily art therapy experiences, journaling and poetry writing
  • Swimming and snorkeling with the sea lions
  • Guided meditation
  • Guided hiking
  • Dancing on the beach as the sun sets and the moon rises
  • Drumming lessons
  • Evening campfires
  • Free transportation to the retreat center from the La Paz airport (40 minutes)
  • Boating excursion to a secluded island
  • Free time for relaxing
  • Guided horseback riding into a beautiful nearby canyon
